Honest Conversation
Leaders talk candidly about what leaders don't usually say out loud: discouragement, burnout, marriage and ministry, comparison, and knowing when a season has ended.

Renew the Leader. Strengthen the Calling.
A morning for pastors, ministry leaders and Christian marketplace leaders to pause, be poured into, and leave strengthened for the work God has called them to do.
The person everyone depends on needs someone to pour into them.
Not another conference. REFRESH is a small breakfast built around honest conversation, practical wisdom and real relationships, not a stage full of unrelated sermons.
It makes deliberate room for the leaders who rarely get poured into: pastors of small and struggling churches, fathers leading their homes, and entrepreneurs carrying the weight of a business. No platform, title or famous name is required to have a seat at the table.
Two hours, over breakfast, before the workday begins. You leave on time, and lighter.
Reserve your seatLeaders talk candidly about what leaders don't usually say out loud: discouragement, burnout, marriage and ministry, comparison, and knowing when a season has ended.
The whole morning is shaped by the questions attendees send in at registration. You won't sit through talks that miss what you're actually carrying.
Small tables, unhurried breakfast, leaders from church and marketplace alike. The people you meet here are the ones you'll call next month.
Every voice at REFRESH comes prepared to help answer one of these, not simply to preach.
A warm plate. Good coffee. A real seat at the table.

Guest leaders
Pastor, entrepreneur and lifelong mentor, living out four callings: family, ministry, business and loving people.
Pastor Mike Goolsbay is a husband, father, grandfather, pastor, entrepreneur and lifelong mentor. His life is built on four callings: family, ministry, business and loving people. He is the devoted husband of Renae and “Popsie” to his grandchildren, and he believes his greatest ministry has always been at home.
After decades in pastoral ministry, including years as a Senior Pastor, Mike stepped away from church work but never from his calling. He still teaches, writes, mentors and lectures at local universities. His message has stayed the same throughout: God is faithful, grace is greater than failure, and every life has eternal purpose.
In one defining season, Mike and Renae gave away everything they had built through years of ministry to invest in the next generation of church leaders. They count that decision among the greatest privileges of their lives.
Today Mike leads Legacy Properties and Nowlin Properties, and he runs both on the same principles that shaped his ministry: honesty, stewardship, servant leadership and excellence. His degrees cover pastoral ministry, education and business, including an MBA. Friends know him for his quick wit and love of a good story, and he believes joy is one of the truest expressions of the Christian life.
“Only when we live like nothing is our own will we truly have everything.”

Hosts
Founders of IMO Missions and InnerHub Productions.
Bola and Aimee Adebisi are a husband-and-wife team whose lives bring together faith, storytelling and service. Their calling is simple: strengthen leaders, tell stories that point people to God, and serve those who need it most.
Together they are the founders of IMO Missions, a non-profit that provides free surgical, dental and women’s health care, and InnerHub Productions in Jos, which makes wholesome, faith-based films, documentaries and children’s educational content. Both trained in film production, and through InnerHub Film Academy they train young Nigerians in hands-on filmmaking.
Bola and Aimee have been married for 30 years and have three children: Kauna, Kyauta and Twy. They believe the ministry that matters most starts at their own table.
They host REFRESH because they believe leaders who pour out every week also need a place to be poured into. Their hope is to see REFRESH start in Jos and grow into a gathering that renews leaders across Africa.
“There is nothing more rewarding than helping people who can never repay you.”
On the table: White Yam with Egg Sauce, Irish Potatoes with Shredded Chicken Breast Sauce, and Acha Pudding with Milk & Sugar, served with watermelon, pineapple, banana and oranges, plus tea, coffee, table water and juice.
